Here’s a close-up of Maddie, the redpoll.

If you look, she is missing half of her upper beak. What does this mean you ask? This means that life will never be easy for Maddie. Her little beak will never grow back. She will have to learn to adapt. If she does not learn to adapt, we all know what will happen…..

So my thought for today is take the time to lend to helping hand. If you see someone struggling stop and see what you can do to help. We put out sunflower chips every day for her. Does that mean life will be easy for her? No.

It does mean, though that she will have an easier time eating. Which means she will get stronger. #asthebirdchirps #love #itsthelittlethings #birds
